Saturday Morning Foursomes
Q. What makes him such a good partner outside of the shots he hits?
PATRICK CANTLAY: He's an amazing player. He's clutch and he makes a ton of 20, 30-footers which are pivotal in these matches. He made an amazing put on 7 and that gave us momentum, and we get along really well and we are great friends. There's no love lost between us, and we just enjoy being with each other.
Q. You were a captain's pick for this Ryder Cup. How exciting was it to produce this sort of form after being selected?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: It's what they expect of all of us, and happy to deliver. Today we knew was going to be a dogfight and played great golf and held on till the end.
Q. Would you say adrenaline flows on every shot in The Ryder Cup?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I would say, yeah, maybe there's a little lull in the middle of the round, but the end and the beginnings are just pure adrenaline.
Q. Do you know if you're going to be playing again this afternoon?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I do not know.
