Q. Bryson and DeChambeau and Justin Thomas going out against Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm. Was that in your mind picking that pairing first?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, also that they are both incredible players but they are both fiery players. They are both going to relish the opportunity to lead out our team. They are just two guys that short of thrive in that.
Q. The opening match is certainly going to get the fans going. Was that in your mind in terms of picking that pairing out first?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, also that they are both incredible players. But they are both fiery players. They are both relishing the opportunity to lead out our team. They are just two guys that thrive in that role.
Q. Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley go next. What do you like about that pairing?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Well, they play well together and they complement each other really well. Russell is a real steady guy. He's going to be right there and Scheffler is the same way.
Q. In terms of putting these pairings together, how much are you thinking about what Luke Donald might do with his pairings?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: You know, to be honest with you, we have to go about our pairings the way we want to. We can't spend -- even if we knew, we play our group and our group is out in the order that they went.
Q. Did you have a feeling it would be Rory McIlroy and Fleetwood going out third -- do you think that was a possibility?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, historically they go first or last. You know, again, I have no clue what they are thinking.
Q. The last pairing, you must feel like there's a team of real solidity, like guys who have done this before and play great golf?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, we really like them in that last spot where they can kind of bring our team in.
Q. How difficult was it to putt these pairings together in terms of who you're going to leave out? Obviously three rookies sit out. First Ryder Cup, foursomes is a tricky format. Is that part of the reason for that?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, it is. You know, we got -- the hardest thing of the captaincy so far for me is to figure out how to sit these guys because they are all so good. It not like these teams don't have role players where they come in for a minute or two. These are All-Stars. That's been the hardest part. We've got to work with the team to make sure that that goes right. But they are happy. They are happy.
Q. What's on the to-do list? What's left to do for the captain?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Try to get a little sleep tonight.
Q. Just overheard you say you wish you were playing. I can tell you're incredibly excited. It's a long build up and you want to get going.
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, it's weird that I'm not playing tomorrow. I feel like I'm playing tomorrow. But what a fun day.
Q. In terms of the excitement, Bryson out first, that will get the crowd going early doors.
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, we want that but we also -- they are both incredible golfers, too. They are two of our better players. But they bring the energy and they thrive in that.
Q. What have you seen from Scottie Scheffler this Ryder Cup with him taking on a more senior role? You can have a target on your back as the world's best player.
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Scottie's a leader. He's the guy that our players look up to and look for leadership. He has a quiet aspect but he's been an incredible teammate, and again another guy that's been willing to play with anybody and do whatever it takes to win.
