Q. Your first Ryder Cup away from home, your first Ryder Cup four-ball, you've beaten the world No. 1 and the U.S. Open Champion alongside the legend that is Jon Rahm. Just describe that experience for us.
SEPP STRAKA: It was a lot of fun, a lot of fun. To have Jon today was great because I did not have my game, and especially for the first little bit. But he kept reminding me that it's there. Just keep pushing and he told me to just put a confident swing on the last hole and I did.
Q. Two wins for you today, seven wins and two halves in your last nine Ryder Cup players matches. You event lost since 2018. What is it about Ryder Cup that brings out the best in Jon Rahm?
JON RAHM: I can't take all the credit. I've had really good partners. I did lose in 2021 versus Scottie Scheffler in the singles.
Q. I said in Paris.
JON RAHM: Oh, sorry. Sorry. Yeah, I can't take the credit, all of it. Tyrrell has been a fantastic partner, and having Nicolai, as well on the front nine was incredible. Sepp has done his thing. We can't lose alone. It's a team. I've been fortunate to have really good teammates.
Q. Securing the point, how did it feel going around out there?
SEPP STRAKA: I struggled a lot all day. The putter still felt pretty good. I had a few firm putts early on but after talking to Jon about, it dialed in my speed a little bit and made some good putts coming down the stretch. A bit ironic that I got to make the winning putt there because Jon played incredible.
Q. After such a good morning, how did you guys keep yourselves focused?
JON RAHM: The morning, although it was great, it was just one part of a long race. We started great and we have to keep it going. That's what we did.
I think he's selling himself short. He played good but maybe not as good as he would have liked but he did what he needed to do. That chip-in on 2 was key. There were certain moments out there that were key and he came up big when we needed him to. That putt on 14 was unbelievably huge. He can't sell himself short because he did the important stuff.
