Q. You were last out yesterday, what's it like going around on a beautiful golf course last out in the evening? Is it joyous?
GEORGE COETZEE: It's actually funny, how long wag as St. George's, 2011? My tee time that week was 16.11, so ten past four in the afternoon, and I shot 69, 69 those two rounds, and everybody else played in blistering rain and just horrible.
I actually enjoy it sometimes. I don't want to play that time of the day every week but it was quite enjoyable this week.
Q. To back it up with another 66 today, how pleased are you?
GEORGE COETZEE: I'm actually just trying to bomb it out there, have fun. I'm not really too meticulous about what I'm doing this week. I'm just trying to enjoy the golf for a change.
Q. I've seen shots like the shot into 18, it's not a full shot. It's a finesse shot. Is that something that you like doing, because it demands it out there, doesn't it?
GEORGE COETZEE: Yeah, I played right into my weaknesses. It looks finesse but it was a full wedge for me and I could have gone through it a bit better. I enjoyed hitting the little knock-off shots and just trying to enjoy kind of envisaging where the ball is supposed to go.
Q. You smile out there but sometimes you're thinking, that's just a poor bounce and that's not fair, but you have to roll with it, don't you?
GEORGE COETZEE: I get a lot of good bounces. I don't fuss about the bad ones.
Q. Where does this form come from?
GEORGE COETZEE: I've actually not played enough golf. I played last week. Was a bit rusty but missed the cut by one, so I actually felt like I played really well. I've played a lot of golf back home but not tournament golf, not ideal.
Q. You won last year. To be involved in a Rolex Series Event, to be possibly going out with the world No. 1, kind of where you want to be, isn't it?
GEORGE COETZEE: That is exactly where you want to be. That's the thing, though, but it's not necessarily this one week. You want to be there every week. You want to compete with these guys every week. So it's more a consistency thing, because I know my good golf is good enough. It's about getting my crappy golf to be up there, as well.
Q. Preparation next week: Do you need something special this week?
GEORGE COETZEE: I'd like for the rest of the week to rain out and take it as it is now and we can go to next week. No, a good couple days and hopefully a decent finish on Sunday will get me in next week.
