Q. Your comments on the round?
JOOHYUNG KIM: I played really solid today. Other than that, I played bogey-free until the last hole and 18 is one of the toughest holes we have this week and it was that last putt, just broke a little bit, obviously with the nerves and stuff but I played really solid this week. I think I finished third this week. Really solid week and just a confidence boost for next week.
Q. You have never played a round on a links course before coming to this tournament?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Correct.
Q. Never?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Yes.
Q. How amazing is that? Did you think of links golf? Was it very easy for you this week?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Obviously the bunkers were not fun. They were very difficult but I heard some players say it's not a links course but it's kind of linksy. I felt like I loved it out here. You have to put your ball in certain places and I hit it to 20 feet a lot. It's just showing me where I am -- I feel I could have definitely won this tournament if I played really well. I'm really happy with this result. It's my first Rolex Series and definitely an accomplishment for me.
Q. Going into week, a major championship, what do you feel about your game coming in and how boosted are you to have a finish like this?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Yeah, I mean, felt I've been playing really solid coming into this week and obviously finishing 23rd in the U.S. Open was a very big thing for me where I feel like I can compete with these guys. This week, last hole, my second shot, I kind of got the chills, I practiced my whole life for this, coming down the stretch where a lot of the top players in the world came and me, tied for the lead coming to the last hole it was a great feeling. It's a stepping stone for me and definitely baby steps forward.
Q. For someone so young, you are not that disappointed with a bogey, I'm sure inside you must be burning, but you are not showing it. How much of it is the upbringing you've had and the discipline outside the golf course?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Obviously you want to finish on a tough week but I mean that's really nothing to be disappointed about. I came in this week just trying my best and I accomplished something. It's my best finish in a co-sanctioned PGA TOUR and Rolex Series Event so it's going to move me up and it's just a stepping stone. Maybe if I was No. 1 in the world, I would be more frustrated but I'm not. It's a stepping stone and I feel like even though I missed the last putt on the last hole I feel like I played really well this week. It's going to be more fuel for me going into next week and hopefully trying to play better.
Q. Talk to me about next week, how excited are you about playing in the 150th Open championship and what have you heard about St Andrews?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Obviously I missed my first chance at St George's but I think it was waiting for this one. 150th at St Andrews, I've only heard good things about it. I'm heading over today and hopefully see the course tomorrow. Just look at the course and just take it all in.
Q. What is one thing that you are really looking forward?
JOOHYUNG KIM: The bridge.
Q. Will you take some pictures?
JOOHYUNG KIM: For sure. For sure.
Q. 17th hole?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Yeah, but for me, more the bridge. It's historical.
Q. Is your dad going to be there?
JOOHYUNG KIM: Yes, whole dad is going to be there.
