Q. Not the greatest weather to have a chat in, so thank you for stopping by. Solid day's work for you, 8-under. How do you reflect on that?
SAM BURNS: Yeah, it's been a solid couple days. Able to make some putts out there and hit some quality shots.
I think the thing I like about this golf course is it rewards quality shots and I think our game plan today was just try to get as many looks as we could. We knew it was going to be difficult at some point.
Fortunately for us, we got pretty lucky with the weather for the first, you know, 12 or 13 holes. Yeah, solid couple days.
Q. How difficult is it mindset-wise when you know you're going to get the odd bump here and there, bit of wind, bit of rain?
SAM BURNS: I think it can be pretty difficult if you're not prepared for it. I think for me this week, it was just expect that and know that you could get some difficult weather. You know in links golf you can get some crazy bounces and hit some good shots and don't end up where you think they should.
For me it's just trying to be a little more flexible and adapt to these conditions and the golf course, and kind of just take whatever it gives me.
Q. Good position heading into the weekend, what will be the key to you for success?
SAM BURNS: Yeah, a lot of golf left to play. With the weather we are supposed to get over the weekend, it's going to be very difficult and look forward to the challenge and hopefully go out and play some solid golf.
