Q. Something you feel like you've been doing better the last few weeks?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: Well, I think there is a few things. Ball striking has definitely improved, so I'm standing over the ball -- I mean, more often now I feel like I have an idea what the ball is going to do when it leaves the club face, which is a good thing, especially on courses like this.
So that's been probably the key change.
But it's nice as well to be holing some putts, so that always helps to get the score going. Yeah, I just feel like I've improved just little by little in every area. Hoping to continue to do that.
Q. A lot of good scores out there today, including one that you posted. What were the conditions like and what accounted for that?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: Good question. I mean, I felt like I put together a really good round, but it seemed like there is a lot of other players that have done the same. It doesn't really come as a surprise. They're really, really good.
So, yeah, I think the course didn't really set up to be scoring really low on them, or on the course so, yeah, it's a difficult golf course but really good players out there.
Q. Did you get in on your own number this week? You weren't an alternate this week?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: No, I wasn't. I did get in, yeah.
Q. Was that based on the play last week that helped get you in?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: No. It's funny actually because I made double -- wait, let me start over. On the 18th tee on Sunday last week I was not in the tournament this week.
Because I made double and one more player bogeyed, Smalley, hopped up a couple spots on the leaderboard which then put him in the Aon10 which then putt me in the Aon5.
So, yeah, it was a little bit mind blowing. But I'll take it.
Q. Were you walking off 18 yesterday obviously probably not happy you made double but then you find out you're in...
KRISTOFFER REITAN: No, it was not yesterday. It was last week.
Q. Sunday, yeah.
KRISTOFFER REITAN: Yeah, it was bizarre.
Q. Weird way professional golf works that things can change quickly. Get an alternate, now this.
KRISTOFFER REITAN: For me it doesn't make any sense because I shouldn't be rewarded for having a bad hole, but I'll take it. I'll take a coincidence like that.
Q. What excites you most about tomorrow?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: Just the opportunity to be near the leaderboard on a Sunday at a PGA TOUR event, you know, rookie season. I'm just over the moon about that.
So, yeah, going to look at tomorrow as a great opportunity to hopefully play some good golf.
Q. And do you and Alex have any kind of relationship overlapping in Europe?
KRISTOFFER REITAN: Yeah. Yeah, I've seen Alex a fair amount in junior golf and also we're members at the same golf course in Florida, so I know him fairly well. If we do play together, then that would be awesome.
