Q. I have to ask you about this. We had a lot of fun with it this morning on the radio. When you saw the group come out the other day, what was your thought?
MARK COSTANZA: Well, when I first looked at the pairing I actually didn't realize it, and then a buddy of mine on the way to the practice round on Sunday, he texted me, hey, man, you're going viral. I said, what? I was looking, and it was like a Reddit group or something that had it, saying if I only had a dollar for every time somebody asked me if I was related to George.
But it's great. I love the show, and obviously being from the area and the popularity of the show being in New York, it's cool. I embrace it, and it was cool to be paired with these guys, and they played a hell of a round today, so it's great.
Q. Not to age you, but you're the only one of the three who knows the show.
MARK COSTANZA: That's another thing I said to a buddy, I said, I don't think these guys probably even know what Seinfeld is. Not only the age but being from the South and maybe just a little bit different. But it was great. I mean, it was a great pairing. The kids were really nice, and they played great.
Q. Who's your favorite character on the show?
MARK COSTANZA: It's got to be George.
Q. As far as your round goes, I know you were fairly consistent. You had one birdie and your bogey and then 17.
MARK COSTANZA: Yeah. I mean, it's still stinging a little bit. If I could only have just one swing back. Other than that, I played great.
Q. Looking forward to playing with these guys again tomorrow?
MARK COSTANZA: Absolutely.
