Q. Well, that's a great way to finish, birdie on the last to win the match. How did that feel?
DYLAN MENANTE: That was really nice after a disappointing 17th hole. Kind of made a mess of the par-5s coming down the stretch. That was really meaningful. I had the same putt this morning, so it was really nice to have that putt again.
Q. It was a really tight match. It never got more than 1-up and you never actually were down in the match. What was it like out there being so tense the entire match?
DYLAN MENANTE: Yeah, it was really tough. We have really similar games and he's a great player, so we're just doing the same thing over and over and tying holes and he'd make a putt on top of me, and then we'd both kind of make like a stupid bogey in there. But it was just great playing. I played really solid today, shot a couple under finally and my game turned on, and he played good, as well.
Q. Four U.S. Ams, it's the first time you've played match play. What has clicked for you this week?
DYLAN MENANTE: I don't know, I just think I'm mentally there. I think before I was really immature and so forth, and now I've finally grown to get out of the little 12-year-old body and do something better with it. I think just mentally these last two years have meant a lot to me in college, and that's really helped my game excel and make the cut for once.
Q. So far obviously you've advanced through match play pretty far here. How do you think this momentum will carry in your first season at UNC?
DYLAN MENANTE: It will do a lot. This tournament is the biggest tournament in the world. This obviously helps. We've got Notre Dame coming up in a couple weeks. Not the best field, but it'll definitely give me a lot more confidence to play well, and I'm really searching at the PGA or top 5, so that just helps me move in the right direction.
