Q. Tell me a little bit about your round today.
BROOKS KOEPKA: Started off pretty solid. Just didn't drive the ball well at all. Didn't put it in the fairway, so you can't really do anything. You can't hit anywhere near the pins. It's a U.S. Open golf course. If you're not going to hit the fairway, you're going to struggle. But I hung in there and wasn't too bad, I guess.
Q. As you just mentioned, five back. Do you still feel like you're in striking distance?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, yeah, I do. I feel right there. I feel like I'm in it. Just need to put two solid good rounds and put the ball in the fairway, and that's it. I love the way I'm putting. I love the way I'm striking it. Just need to keep doing it.
Q. How do you feel like your game fares on this course versus other typical U.S. Open courses?
BROOKS KOEPKA: I like it. I like this golf course. I think it's fun, it's interesting. If you do what you're supposed to do you can shoot 6-under, but you can be just slightly off like I was today and just grind out and be a couple over, but I think that's what makes a good golf course.
Q. Any changes from today going into tomorrow?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Just sort out what's going on with the driver, figure out that stuff. Other than that, everything is good.
