Q. Adrien, how would you sum up your first round?

ADRIEN DUMONT de CHASSART: Overall, pretty happy with the score. You can always say that it could have been a little bit better, but I feel like I'm really happy with the way I bounced back.

I made a lot of bogeys, but I was able to make five birdies, which is pretty good out there. Overall, I'm just happy with the round.

Q. What do you think you did well, and what could you have done better?

ADRIEN DUMONT de CHASSART: I just feel like on the holes where I hit a good drive, I did a good job with my approach shot, kind of set up a good birdie chance, and some of those were not hitting the fescue. I actually had some good breaks on some of those but weren't able to make par.

I just say to be able to take advantage of the good drives I hit was key today.

Q. For tomorrow, how are you going to prepare for your second round?

ADRIEN DUMONT de CHASSART: I'm going to go eat because I'm quite hungry. Then I'm going to go hit a few balls, chip a few putts, but mostly try to save some energy for tomorrow because it's going to be quite important.

Q. How does it feel finishing with a birdie and kind of ending on a positive note?

ADRIEN DUMONT de CHASSART: It feels great. I bogeyed 7, 8, which was a little bit disappointing, but ended up hitting a great second shot on hole 9 to a foot. So it's always nice to have a tap-in birdie out here.

Yeah, just excited to go eat some food and relax this afternoon.
