Q. What were the conditions like? It seemed like it changed. You start in the fog and end up in the wind?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, it was tough around here without wind, and then it was blowing pretty hard, really hard. Tough conditions. The USGA did a great job setting the course up because, if the greens were any faster or firmer, we might not be playing right now. So they did a great job.
Q. You feel like you handled all that and got through it and played great?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: I really played great. What a treat it is to play a round of golf like that around here in a U.S. Open in these conditions. Really proud of that round.
I love playing in this area. Just a really fun day.
Q. You mentioned this area. Obviously the last time you were on Long Island was Bethpage. It didn't go as well, I guess. Have you washed that from your mouth completely?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: No, that will be in my -- I'll be thinking about that for the rest of my life. I do feel like I owe New York one. Maybe I can give them something to cheer about this weekend.
Q. What sort of reception did you feel like you got from the fans out there?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: It was great. I never know what to expect. I would understand if they were upset, but I didn't get any of that. I haven't really at all. I'm really thankful for that.
I just love playing here. I love playing Long Island. I love New York. I love their fans. It's a real treat to be out here.
Q. Everybody's happy because of the Knicks. That's why.
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, that's true.
Q. That's why they're not mad at you.
Q. Kind of talk about the conditions. That was kind of the talk coming through with the wind and the firmness and then the way the greens rolled. Was it as you expected? Was it a little different today? I'm sure it's hard to kind of prepare mentally for this?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, the greens were softer than I expected, but thank goodness they were. There was a few times where my ball was, like, wiggling, like oscillating a little bit. They did what they had to do to play today. They did a great job. They should be commended for that.
It's often where we've had instances where it's gone the other way, and they did a good job of that today.
