Q. Good stuff out there today. What do you think was working out there for you?
GARY WOODLAND: It's a tough day, right? It's tough for everybody, I think. Biggest thing for me, I stayed patient. Didn't have my best stuff, but I made a lot of putts and saved myself to keep the momentum going.
Our group had a good day, too, so I was feeding off the momentum in the group. SO yeah, it was nice. It was a nice start, for sure.
Q. Three consecutive birdies there coming in. Walk me through those holes.
GARY WOODLAND: Yeah, I was coming off a bogey there on 2. So I hit two good shots into 3, and the ball spun back on me. Any time you make a 40-footer, that's a big plus. Then gave myself a good look on the next hole, hit a great shot out of there, out of the fescue, in there to about 15 feet. Rolled it in nicely.
Then gave myself a really good chance there on the par-5. Hit two great shots. We got lucky, straight downwind. Gave myself a chance for eagle, but I'll take the 4. Happy with where I'm at, for sure.
Q. Early start tomorrow. How do you turn it around and get ready to go?
GARY WOODLAND: Just get back around. I'm tired, so rest won't be an issue. We'll get back out early in the morning and keep it rolling.
