THE MODERATOR: Justin, you really found something on that first nine with three birdies. What were you seeing today that was maybe different in terms of conditions than yesterday, or how were the conditions?
JUSTIN THOMAS: I mean, it was definitely a different wind condition. I feel like we got fortunate yesterday in terms of what we were playing in, but I mean, the course is still very soft. I mean, it's obviously still Shinnecock. It's very hard, but it's been friendly the first two days for how it can play.
I just played really well and made some putts and kind of took advantage of some chances when I had them.
Q. You got some momentum there on that last hole with the birdie. How are you going to use that momentum into the weekend and potentially get into this thing? Because you definitely are.
JUSTIN THOMAS: Yeah, just keep doing what I'm doing. I would expect to see a completely different golf course this weekend, definitely not as soft. Probably they're going to let it go a little bit more and let it play firmer and faster.
I think, honestly, a lot of it will have to do with how the course plays. I'm just going to kind of see what it's like. More than anything, I feel like I've played well and am playing well. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing.
