Q. Good win today. It seemed like a pretty back and forth battle. You won the first hole, but your opponent kept coming back. Can you just talk about it a little bit?
KUAN ZHOU: Yeah, I mean, all my matches so far have been kind of back and forth. Like we've all won a lot of holes and it's been flipping a lot.
So just staying steady and knowing that I am hitting the ball well and keep putting myself in good positions and soon the putts started dropping and I took the lead.
Q. Are you a player that prefers one or the other when it comes to match play or stroke play?
KUAN ZHOU: I prefer match play for sure. I think it brings out the best in everybody. I mean, somebody hits it close, you got to hit close, too.
So it's much more competitive and I think enjoyable. Like we're all playing for fun, yeah.
Q. Do you feel like you thrive in those competitive settings?
KUAN ZHOU: For sure. It makes you play good or else you lose, right, so try to keep playing good. Hopefully I do well tomorrow.
Q. What are your thoughts after a few days at this event and this course?
KUAN ZHOU: Love it. The course is great because hit it good tee shot and you have a good opportunity; it's short enough and you got a lot of wedges. Hit bad shots and you're often playing for par, and that's what's good about match play. You have a lot of holes where you might make bogey or you might have to scramble for par.
Q. And then what's the strength of your game overall, and has that been the strength of your game this week?
KUAN ZHOU: I think this week specifically it's probably been my iron play. I'm hitting it pretty good and driving it well. That's usually what's good about my game.
Putting all right this week, which is typical. And, yeah, it's about normal.
Q. Was there a shot today that specifically stood out, or a hole?
KUAN ZHOU: Probably 16. In the afternoon I'd lost 15 to a birdie and lead was only 1-up, so knew I had to hit a good drive on 16. It was a pretty tight hole, 500 yards; I stripped it right down the middle.
Q. What was your approach shot after that drive?
KUAN ZHOU: Hit to 20 feet on the back fringe and then that was good enough to win the hole.
