Quick Quotes

Q. Obviously I know not the result you had hoped for, but to make it to the final eight in a 264-player tournament is quite the feat.

DYLAN BOENNING: Thank you.

Q. Can you just talk about the week a little bit and your experience.

DYLAN BOENNING: Yeah, it was an incredible experience; first Junior Am. I think I had a different road getting here. I was exempt into it.

But I think it's just been an incredible experience, especially first USGA event. It's an awesome experience.

I mean, I'm not mad at what happened today. I mean, I played great golf. Made one bogey and shot 1-under and lost 6&5. I can't be mad at that. He was just rolling and didn't miss inside 20 feet.

So it was a really cool experience. I'm happy how I played this week.

Q. Can you talk about playing a player like Miles? Obviously for their age, so good.

DYLAN BOENNING: Yeah.

Q. Just talk about how was it to play him out there.

DYLAN BOENNING: Yeah, it was really cool to see just how his demeanor is and how he goes about his game. It's very methodical and cool to see someone that young and that experienced. I mean, you learn a few things out there watching him. But it was a really cool experience to play with him.

Having the crowd be there, that was pretty cool. Felt like I was very comfortable even though I was -- there was a little bit of adrenaline everywhere, but I felt very comfortable today. Happy with how I played; just good luck to Miles this afternoon.

Q. And then going into your sophomore season at WAZZU.

DYLAN BOENNING: Yeah.

Q. Does this showing give you confidence going into your next season and what are your goals?

DYLAN BOENNING: Absolutely, yeah. I think this is a great test, especially this close to college season. Playing in rough like this, greens like this, old school golf, it's very good for experience going into sophomore season.

Last year I had a great season. I didn't expect to get that far, especially as a freshman, but I was blessed where I got. Made it to regionals, and hopefully we can make it to Nationals next year.
