Q. Noah, quite the match; an emotional one. Can you just tell me what you're feeling right now after that?
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: Yeah, I mean, Cooper gave a heck of a fight. Gave me a lot of stress on the back nine. He kept on pouring birdies, so we weren't going to win holes unless the other one wasn't making birdies.
So I feel like when he had the tee first I just had to match every shot that he hit, and ultimately it just -- it speaks to him as a player that it came down to the last hole. I wish it didn't. Gave myself a few scares there on 16 and 17, but I'm just so proud of myself on the way I handled it and got out of there alive, yeah.
Q. Didn't start with your brother on the bag but you've had him there the last few rounds. Does that provide a sense of comfort knowing that he's there on your bag and obviously you know each other so well?
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: Absolutely. This is the third tournament that he's gotten to be on the bag for me, so he's no stranger to my game and how I kind of play.
So it's definitely, you know, a positive that he's on the bag. He knows me so well. He knows when to settle me down. He knows when to give me some space mentally.
Yeah, I would rather have no one on the bag other than him.
Q. And you were an alternate into this. Rawlin Sutter got his exemption and then you got in.
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: Uh-huh.
Q. If you win this thing tomorrow, what kind of thank you are you going to give him?
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: You know, Rawlin is kind of my dog. We played a lot together over the winter in big tournaments and stuff, so I guess I owe him a thanks for winning his state junior.
He was at same qualifier and shot 2-under and I missed out by one. Yeah, if I win, I guess I owe Rawlin a big thank you I would say, yes, sir.
Q. And then I assume you know this; maybe nobody has told you yet. You earned an exemption into the U.S. Amateur. You're going to be playing at Merion.
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: Oh, man.
Q. Tell me how that feels.
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: You know, I don't really have words for that. I passed my local but failed my final, so nothing means more to me than that, going to get to play at another stage like this in another USGA Championship.
I'm sure it'll come to my mind and I'll start to really take hold of it later, but it's all kind of fresh right now.
Q. And then who is here with you today from your family and then is anybody going travel in for that final round tomorrow?
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: To be honest with you, it's just my family right now. I'm sure there will be a couple people that are blowing up my phone right now, so I have to check on that and see if they're coming up.
Yeah, I definitely think there is a few supporters out here coming up.
Q. One last one: Do you feel like -- you're lefty obviously -- do you feel like this course suits lefties? Do you think lefties have an advantage out here?
NOAH MACLAUCHLAN: I would definitely say there is parts and bits of the course that set up good for me and good for some other spots.
Yeah, I just kind of -- I give high operations to just the way I've been striking it this week off the tee. I don't care if you're righty or lefty, these fairways are tight and the rough is thick, so you better keep it in the short grass.
