Quick Quotes

Q. Obviously it wasn't your best stuff it seemed like today. You had a couple of blemishes on the card.

TODD WHITE: Yeah, I didn't play well this morning. I really didn't. Last year I rode my putter to victory. Well, this morning my putter sent me home. I didn't putt well today. I hit some shots, especially I let a lot of the par-5s get away from me --

Q. You bogeyed two, right?

TODD WHITE: I bogeyed two of them. You've got to really be careful because I can get there in two, and I put myself in positions to where it made it difficult.

But I've got to give him credit. When I'm in trouble, he's got to capitalize on it, and he did that. That's the way match play goes.

I'm really disappointed not to be playing this afternoon, but I had a great time here at the Honors.

Q. Obviously the Mid-Am is coming up next month?

TODD WHITE: I'm just kind of glad that I've got about a three-week respite before going up there with everything that came with winning this thing last year, which whoever wins tomorrow, I hope they enjoy it half as much as I did, being able to do all of that.

It's just a grueling run, so I'm glad to have about three weeks off before going to the Mid-Am.

Q. This guy has beaten three straight champions.

TODD WHITE: Well, I'm sorry you added that last name to the list. No, he hit some quality golf shots down the stretch. You've got to give him credit. The little three and a half, four-footer there on 18, that kind of epitomized the morning. I just never felt in sync. You've got to give him credit because he capitalized when he had the opportunity.
