THE MODERATOR: Karrie Webb, 3-under 69. How were the conditions today compared to yesterday when you went off in the afternoon?

KARRIE WEBB: Yeah, when we started this morning, pretty similar, but the wind is a little bit a different direction, southeast instead of northeast yesterday. Obviously the wind picked up quite a bit throughout the morning, so it made the course play quite tricky.

We hadn't played that wind in any of our practice rounds, so it was lots of different clubs off tee. So it was a lot of thinking and trusting that you had the right club in your hand.

THE MODERATOR: T-1 right now. What would you say has been the strongest part of your game these first 36 holes out there?

KARRIE WEBB: I think I very rarely have ever said this, but probably my patience because, you know, I probably felt like I played way better yesterday than I did today, to be honest. I just let it get away there at the end yesterday and bogeyed the last two, which didn't make dinner taste great.

But I just tried to be patient. I made 11 birdies in two days, so when you are seeing putts go in, it helps when you are making certain mistakes, but I think I learnt a lesson from last year.

It's hard to have the same expectations I had when I was competing week in and week out and that I am going to hit some terrible shots, and I just have to get on with it and not be too hard on myself.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Patience does seem to be a key to this golf course. There were a lot of flags out there today that you really couldn't go at. You had to just go for the center.

KARRIE WEBB: Yeah, there were. A lot more than yesterday. You know, just especially if you didn't have a perfect number, you didn't want to go chasing certain flags. So, yeah, I hit away from quite a few flags today.

Q. What's it feel like to go into the weekend being in the hunt?

KARRIE WEBB: It feels good. You know, I'm proud of myself for not letting yesterday's finish affect how I started off today. It obviously helped to birdie the first two out of the first three holes and get off to a good start.

But, yeah, I think I'm really excited that I have a chance over the weekend.
