Q. Two rounds, both par or better. What would you say is the strongest part of your game the first two days of competition?
FARAH O'KEEFE: I would definitely say that my ball striking has been really good. Like my iron play has been really strong. Haven't necessarily putted as well as I wanted to, but gave myself so many different opportunities at birdie over the last to days that even the bad holes are only a bogey or even sometimes just a par.
So I'd definitely say like my iron play has been really solid.
Q. Conditions-wise, how did today fare compared to yesterday's first round for you?
FARAH O'KEEFE: I think that -- I mean, I kind of got really lucky with my draw. You know, I had afternoon yesterday when it wasn't blowing and I had morning today when it was blowing. I got the best stuff of both days.
I don't know. I think today definitely blew a little bit harder. There was a couple more difficult shots out there with the wind direction. They changed the tees up.
But I think that I kind of found something in my putting towards the end of the round on that back nine. That's what helped me stay in red numbers today versus yesterday.
Q. Playing in the your second U.S. Women's Open, what's been the difference this week for you compared to the first experience?
FARAH O'KEEFE: Just experience. The first time around I had no idea what to expect, I'll be honest with you. Only played in the U.S. Girls Junior before, just one, so I didn't know what the competition was going to be like, the setup. I just turned 18. So I was getting distracted by everything. Ping pong, coffee bar, everything. It's incredible here.
So I think I'm more taking it in at -- also it was at Pebble. You can't not really be excited for that. More than anything I was taking that experience in. This week it's been a little bit more about the golf and controlling what I can control and drawing on my past experiences at U.S. Women's Open or Augusta National Women's Amateur, NCAA championships. I have a lot of golf under my belt now.
