Q. Stepping on to the first tee today, expectations for the week? How did it feel?
ANNIKA SORENSTAM: It was great to be on the first tee. It was a little misty, a little cool, because it was an early start. Like I've said, it's great to be here and just soak up the atmosphere. Lots of friends, a lot of support. Yeah, I was excited to play.
Q. How did the course play compared to what you were expecting?
ANNIKA SORENSTAM: You know what, I think it's a great golf course. I think it's a really fair setup. It's tricky. I just made it really tricky for myself today. I really did not hit the ball well off the fairway at all. I think I hit one fairway overall, and you can't score on this course, especially with my distance, it makes it really difficult. So I'm disappointed in that, but I fought really hard. I thought I made some great saves. It sounds funny when you have this score, but I did.
Q. Big crowds with Michelle and In Gee. How was that?
ANNIKA SORENSTAM: Loved it. Appreciate the support. Nice for people to come out and be out here, and I enjoyed my pairing very much.
Q. Anything you'll work on today going into tomorrow?
ANNIKA SORENSTAM: I need to hit fairways, so I probably have to hit a few shots on the range. I've been hitting it well, I just really don't know at this point what it was, but that's golf.
