Quick Quotes

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It's a really amazing experience. I mean, I'm not talking about my golf but I'm talking about all the crowd, rooting for Celine. I played with her in front of her hometown and I think she's just really a role model here in France.

Q. I know you got to represent Thailand at the International Crown, but what is it like to play for Thailand in this fashion?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It's always an honour to represent my country in Olympics. I think we are out here, it's just like, I just go out and play, and you know, just really happy to be out here no matter what result going to be. Just like play my best out there.

Q. Contending now for a medal on Sunday -- excuse me, on Saturday. What does that mean to you to be able to have that opportunity or to play the way that you did to got yourself in that spot?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It means a lot. Like I said just to be out here, it's good, good enough. But like to be in contention for the medal for my country, is like intense experience to be honest. As you know, Olympics is four years; we just have one. If I can get it, it's going to be really special.

But if not, I'm just already proud of myself of how I did out there and also proud of representing Thailand and representing all the people in the country.

Q. What did you figure out about the golf course today that made it play a little bit, maybe not easier for you, but you have a lower score today?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I don't think it's easy at all, even first round to here.

The rough is pretty thick out there if you don't have a good line. Keep the ball on the fairway is the key on this course, give he is, and yeah, I mean, it depend on day-by-day. It's not easy to make really, really low. I don't know how Morgane did it but just, you know, stick on the process, should be better.

Q. Any sense of how hard this golf course is compared to what you see on a regular basis, the hardest courses you've played this year?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I don't think it's the hardest but can it compare to other majors, I guess, the way the rough is. I think just like kind a little bit that they cut the rough for us from the men and I think they water the green a little bit. Just my guess. They have just been kind to us which is make it a little bit easier for us but still hard, I guess.

Q. Any good holes from today stand out in particular?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: To 9, it's reachable but this is the first day I made birdie, so I give it to 9.
