Q. Jeeno Thitikul is with us now at the 2026 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Jeeno, 3-under for you today. How had you summarize your opening round?
JEENO THITIKUL: I definitely take it if you said you shoot under par in the opening round of the like major championship. Who is not going to take it? I mean, definitely had couple putts that I kind of -- I should put it in more a little bit, but it's golf.
In the first nine I think I put it, I mean, in the hole a lot, but like not the back nine, which is fine.
Q. Looks like the positives win the negatives, no?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah. We'll say that, yes.
Q. By how much and how happy are you with the round?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think it's just kind of -- you know, I had not really opening the first hole. I got into the bunker, but I got up and down, which is kind of on the positive side more than negative side right there.
I think it just kind of golf is just kind of momentum going. I think the first couple hole like I sink my putt really well so my momentum is got better and better, but -- way better than last week I mean.
So it's kind of stay on positive side on my putter because I knew that my game was on track.
Q. When you play in the afternoon after some pretty good scores in the morning and you overall played nicely, is it nice that you know you're going to be right back out there tomorrow morning, kind of keep the momentum?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I mean, if you play some good golf, you know, in the afternoon and then you will get back in the morning so quickly, so it just, like I said, should be a momentum going still as well.
Because like sometime players might like afternoon and morning wave more than morning and afternoon because they have so many gap, but obviously what I have today, what's in my head, what's in my eye today on my game is pretty good, so should be good day tomorrow, too.
Q. Did you think there was a 63?
JEENO THITIKUL: 63?
Q. Did you think there was a 9-under 63 possible?
JEENO THITIKUL: Before sawing the course I would think it impossible. After a few holes playing, just no wind and then the green is soft than our practice round, maybe because after the rain.
But the funny thing is Ina Yoon was shooting like a 9-under par. After my nine hole I saw her at the driving range and I was like, wow, that's why maybe. She's practice. Like when I walk up No. 1 and my caddie saw her on the range I'm like maybe that's why she shoot 9-under par.
