Q. Congrats on a great round, eight birdies. You do you want to talk a bit more about it?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, I just playing really solid. It was pretty difficult out there. I've not ever really played it when it's been this firm, especially off the tee, so quite a few different things off the tee than normal where I used to be able to hit driver a lot of places.
But yeah, I hit it really well but I made almost everything that I kind of looked at today. So it kind of makes it a little bit easy.
Q. We've not had many low scores, especially this morning. How do you feel about that going into an afternoon tee time?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: It more confirmed what I felt; that it was going to be playing difficult out there. I felt like I had a really good game plan and executed really well and made a few putts.
Q. And obviously you're a champion here in 2024. I feel like the last couple days, we've had nice summer weather but this feels like a Scottish summer. Can you talk about the conditions?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, it's windy, even in the practise round days, so I feel like I had gotten a good feel for it. But like I said, just good game plan and good execution today, as well.
Q. And talk to me a little bit more about your game plan.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, just trying to hit as many fairways as I could possibly hit, and same with greens. Miss it in the right spots, if I end up missing it.
But I kind of got -- I hit a couple wayward drives but had some pretty good drives in the tall stuff. I made a couple birdies even out of that. Judged everything really well out of there.
Yeah, I just felt like I had a pretty good feel for the wind and the conditions and how everything was going.
Q. And we are 50 days out from the Solheim Cup. How good would it be to come into form here in Scotland ahead of that?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, it would be great. Solheim Cup is always No. 1 on the list of goals, and so it would be nice to have some good form going into it.
