Q. 3-under in tough, windy conditions. How did you find it?
LISA PETTERSSON: Well, actually, like where I'm from, we don't have that much wind. So I think I playing really solid. I didn't finish very good, unfortunately. So I'm a bit bummed for that.
But I hit some really good drives and hit a lot of greens, and yeah, so I'm really happy. I mean, it's a marathon. So hopefully three more rounds to play for.
Q. Was that the game plan to kind of try to hit the fairways and greens and be strategic around a links golf course?
LISA PETTERSSON: Yeah, isn't it always? But it definitely helps because it's a lot firmer than previous years. So if you don't hit it in the fairway, I mean, it's kind of hard to calculate how the ball is going to bounce with the wind and how dry it is.
Yeah, we just really try to be smart. And I've been here a few times now, so I feel like I know where to go and where not to go. So yeah, we just follow game plan.
Q. Despite it playing a little bit differently, the fact that you have been here now for so many years in a row, you know like other LET courses where to go and where not to go. Has that helped you improve your experience around this golf course?
LISA PETTERSSON: I'd say. So it's a little like nicer on some tee shots you know you can miss in certain places, so it makes you a little bit more comfortable. But I think it was really tough pins today, like really tough. I'm like, first day, how tough it's going to be on Sunday.
Yeah, we played really smart, and just didn't play aggressive to some of the pins and played aggressive to the ones that we were able to go for.
Q. What had you been doing in the last few weeks at home?
LISA PETTERSSON: So me and my husband bought a house, yeah, so we got the keys about, like the week that I was in Belgium playing. It's a complete renovation project. So for the past two weeks, I've been practicing in the morning and then renovating in the afternoon.
So we're going it all on our own. So it's a fun project and takes my mind off the golf a little bit.
