Q. How did you feel tonight about your outing, and were six innings about what you expected or did you expect to keep going there? How did you feel about the outing?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: The last outings I was in trouble early on, so today -- because I was trying to be a little more careful. And as the game went on, even though I had to pitch with runners on, I think I did a good job.

Q. What did you think of the job the bullpen did behind you, and what did you think of the way the game ended?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: Yeah, we still had a lead, two runs, and then I think that's what mattered was that we won today.

Q. What was on your mind when you were coming out of the game after the 6th inning, and then how much more could you go?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: In my mind, I was ready for another inning, but my job, the most important part was to protect our lead and then pass it to the guys coming behind me.

Q. Tomorrow, if they need you to come in, would you be ready?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: If they ask me to go out, then I'll be ready, but I want to do my very best to cheer my team.

Q. In the 6th inning when you were in trouble, were you chasing for a strikeout?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: When I was facing Bichette, I was kind of like throwing with unnecessary tension. But I reset my mind and then my mechanics, and then I think I was able to grind.

Q. From the last outing facing them, you were throwing many splitters today as well. What was your approach to today's game?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: I was checking how they react to my pitches today. Then when I was not sure what to throw, I was leaning on the splitter today.

Q. You played with Sasaki and Ohtani in the World Baseball Classic in that elimination game with the U.S. How does this compare to now you're going to Game 7 of the World Series with those two guys?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: I'm not exactly sure what's a difference between those two games because these two games are completely different things.

Q. How about just playing in Game 7 of the World Series with them?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: Every game I go out and pitch because I always feel that I don't want to lose. We can't afford to lose. In terms of tomorrow's game, I think that will be a really hard-fought game out there.

Q. Game 3 in this series for you it was physically really hard. Like Game 3, you have to go out and then prepare just in case they ask you to go out. How do those tough days during this series affect you physically?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: Yeah, physically it's not easy. This is, like, the second trip to Toronto. However, compared to my last outing, actually, today I was feeling a little better.

Q. In the 6th inning, the guy jumped on the field and then probably that affected your rhythm, but how did you reset your mind or maintain your concentration?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: That's a rare case. That kind of thing happens very rarely. I just didn't like it, but I just felt like I was allowed to pitch a couple pitches, so I maintained my composure.
