Q. Can you talk about what it felt like out there? It's your first World Series game, the dream is coming true. Were there tensions, emotions, tingling? How do you think you did?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: I don't even know how to tell you how I felt. I still don't know how I felt. I feel like I'm still trying to take everything in and understand what happened.

Obviously went out and did my best and did enough for the team to get a win. That's all I can ask for.

Q. Your thoughts on the way the final inning went as the double play, the game was over, then it wasn't and had to do it all over again. What was going through your mind, and what was the dugout like?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, right away we thought we got it. We thought we won. That's baseball, you know. I'd rather have the reviews and get the close plays right than have it be a guess and end up an unknown.

Q. How did you feel coming out at 78 pitches? Did you feel like you could go longer?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: I wish I could go more. Obviously I'm going to be competitive and I'm going to keep going. I'm going to want to throw 130. I'll keep going. It's the World Series. I've got more rest to come.

No, the situation we had looked better going to the pen and turning it over that way. You have to trust the staff and understand that they're making a decision for later in the game.

Q. Jacob, you've had so much dominant success this season, but October baseball is different. You've taken the ball for Game 1 in each series and your team has ended up with the win. How do you assess your performance? And do you have to realize it's different? These are the best teams, the best hitters, the best approaches to counter you?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, like you were saying it's October baseball. It's not regular season. They're not trying to play a hundred more games. You've got to win them now.

No, I'm thrilled that we got wins in every game I've been in. It's been awesome to have the team behind me and being able to succeed. It's been outstanding.

Q. What did you think of that atmosphere for Game 1 of the World Series?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Electric. The fans were -- it was crazy. It's everything I dreamed of. It's really cool that we got to do it here in Milwaukee. It's been awesome to feel the city and feel just the atmosphere they've been creating. It's been amazing.

Q. Apologies if you already answered it, but what's it been like having William behind the plate and what he's been able to do for you guys?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, he's been awesome. He's been a ton of help with me. There's been some ups and downs this year of having some of the best games I've ever had in my career and some of the worst, where I'm trying to scramble and get outs. William's been there through ups and downs. Just the words of encouragement and everything outside of the field has made it amazing, and just the support and help he's given me, it's been outstanding.

Q. Obviously pitching with a lead is significant, but how significant was it tonight in this environment in this type of game to be able to go out there with a couple of runs on the board in the second inning?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, it's awesome that our team is able to score early and give me a little -- I don't know if ease of my mind of like, okay, now the boys did their job, I've got to do mine. It doesn't change the game plan, it doesn't change anything. Still the same baseball game, still got to do my job, got to do my part of the ordeal. No, but it's awesome.

Q. First pitch, 103 1/2, 10 of your first 12 fastballs. Was heat the game plan going in, or was that a decision in the moment with the adrenaline?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: I wouldn't say it was more than I was hoping, it was just what came out. The adrenaline kind of took over, and I tensed up and threw it hard.

Then I settled down, and that was the game plan to settle in and do me. Don't try and overdo it. I think that's also a part of what I've been doing this postseason not trying to overdo stuff and understand I have a whole defense behind me to help me out.

Q. How did you feel like you and the guys set the tone today in Game 1 of the World Series going up 1-0 with three wins to go until you can win one?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, it's amazing. You never want to lose a game, you want to win them all. It's awesome. We took our chance, and it paid off. Hopefully there's three more to come, like you said.

Q. What have you learned about yourself in these October -- the competition has been so fierce. You really had to fight hard to limit the damage, and you have limited the damage. What are you learning about yourself?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: Yeah, that I can pitch. I don't know, that's a hard one. I think the thing that I realized the most was it's October baseball. It doesn't matter how you get outs. It's just get them. There's 27 to get, and my job is to get however many I can get in my span of being out there.

Q. Can you tell coming out of your hand if a pitch is 101 versus 103 versus 104? Can you feel that, or do you have to see the radar gun to know?

JACOB MISIOROWSKI: No. I mean, maybe some. I think the only one I kind of felt like I gave a little bit more was that first one just because I had so much adrenaline built up. No, all like in there, they all feel the same. It could be 98 or 102, and I don't know, it all feels the same.
